Cat Tassini is a video artist based in Austin, TX and Brooklyn, NY. The focus of her artistic practice is music and dance-based short form video content. The experimental approach, transcendental themes, and dreamy visuals of her video art are grounded in the corporal disciplines of dance and movement. She completed a professional certificate in web design and interactive communications at The Art Institute of Austin in 2015. In 2010, she graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Theater and a minor in Art History. There she focused on creating original dance-based theater while studying acting, directing, filmmaking, and design for stage and film. Her work has been staged and screened at DUOC in Santiago de Chile, Williamsburg Fashion Weekend, Secret Project Robot Art Experiment, the 14th Street Y, Bushwick Film Festival and New Media Festival Los Angeles.
