Cat Tassini is an artist and designer based in New York City. The focus of her artistic practice is creating music-based short form video content. The experimental approach, transcendental themes, and otherworldly visuals of her video art are grounded in the corporal disciplines of dance and movement. Cat works as a set decorator on film, television, digital, and live productions, styling and fabricating set pieces. In addition to her production work, she creates paintings and mixed media collages and freelances in graphic and web design. She completed a professional certificate in web design and interactive communications at The Art Institute of Austin in 2015. In 2010, she graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Theater and a minor in Art History. There she studied acting, directing, and design for stage and film. Her work has been staged and screened at South by Southwest, Bushwick Film Festival and New Media Festival Los Angeles.
